I'd love to see a modern adaptation, and the Ourang-Outang's massacre's inevitable comedy. If Travis the chimpanzee can commit a tragedy, then better can an orangutan; but the primordial detective story is still, unfortunately, too goofy and over-explained to be considered any good.
